Hi my name is Emily! I have been in Symphony Orchestra for 3 years and I am so grateful for all of the experiences ESYO has given me. All of the amazing opportunities like playing at Carnegie Hall, yearly Frost Valley retreats, SPAC Festival of Young Artists, and various other performances would not be possible without donations from supporters. This is what has inspired me to continue pursuing cello performance after high school, something I would not have considered if it wasn't for the amazing experience I've had at ESYO. I am currently in the process of auditioning for music schools and I have felt a lot more secure because of the supportive environment at ESYO, giving me opportunities to perform and get feedback my repertoire and giving me great advise. Donations to ESYO will keep this environment thriving and allow other musicians to pursue their dreams!

Playathon is Empire State Youth Orchestra’s most important fundraiser and friend-raiser of the year! This fun-filled day of free musical performances raises money for ESYO while showcasing the breadth and depth of our programs. It is the one day of the year when all ESYO ensembles (including CHIME) perform in one location!

Your support is needed now more than ever. The marathon display of musical talent helps ESYO ensure no qualified musician is ever turned away from the ESYO experience because of an inability to pay. The money raised will support a substantial portion of ESYO’s operating expenses and musician scholarships.
