Hi everyone!

As you may remember, I am part of the Empire State Youth Orchestra (ESYO). It is a collection of many different orchestras for different skill levels and instruments, and it is a great opportunity for kids and teenagers looking for somewhere to play. I have been part of ESYO since I was nine years old, which is about six years! I have played so many lovely pieces and made such nice friends through ESYO. It's a really great program for anyone who loves music.

In March, we have Playathon. Playathon is ESYO's biggest fundraising event of the year, and it helps pay for costs so that entrance rates for everyone can stay affordable. For Playathon, every ESYO ensemble comes to Crossgates Mall in Albany to play beautiful music for everyone to enjoy. For Playathon to make a difference, we need your help! If you would consider donating even just a small amount, it would mean a lot for me and everyone at ESYO. I'd be so happy for your help in letting other kids experience this amazing program!

Playathon is Empire State Youth Orchestra’s most important fundraiser and friend-raiser of the year! This fun-filled day of free musical performances raises money for ESYO while showcasing the breadth and depth of our programs. It is the one day of the year when all ESYO ensembles (including CHIME) perform in one location!

Your support is needed now more than ever. The marathon display of musical talent helps ESYO ensure no qualified musician is ever turned away from the ESYO experience because of an inability to pay. The money raised will support a substantial portion of ESYO’s operating expenses and musician scholarships.
