Hi!

My name is Coco, and I have been a member of the Empire State Youth Orchestra for 3 years! ESYO means a lot to me because with ESYO, I have gotten to play challenging orchestral music with advanced young musicians who share a passion for music. I love playing Shostakovich, Dvorak, and Berlioz, and I can't imagine any other place where I have the opportunity to play and perform these pieces and learn about the history and composition of these music. Being at ESYO helps me be a better flutist, musician, listener, and teamworker. 

ESYO is so important to the capital region because it supports young musicians with its low price and even free music programs such as CHIME. Please help support ESYO so that more and more young musicians can get the opportunity to participate in these programs. Thank you so much for your support!

Playathon is Empire State Youth Orchestra’s most important fundraiser and friend-raiser of the year! This fun-filled day of free musical performances raises money for ESYO while showcasing the breadth and depth of our programs. It is the one day of the year when all ESYO ensembles (including CHIME) perform in one location!

Your support is needed now more than ever. The marathon display of musical talent helps ESYO ensure no qualified musician is ever turned away from the ESYO experience because of an inability to pay. The money raised will support a substantial portion of ESYO’s operating expenses and musician scholarships.
