Hello, my name is Andrew Kim and I am currently a first violin playing for the ESYO Repertory Orchestra. I have been part of ESYO since I was in 6th grade, when my private teacher recommended me to audition. I remember I was very nervous and anxious at first, but I quickly settled into ESYO's friendly and welcoming community. Ever since then, ESYO has constantly helped me grow as a musician and a person. The leadership skills and friendships I have gained are priceless and will last a lifetime. Wouldn't it be awesome if all youth musicians could reap the rewards of joining this community? Your donation could help make that happen. Even if you can't donate, please come to Crossgates Mall on March 15th to watch us if you can. Playathon is Empire State Youth Orchestra’s most important fundraiser and friend-raiser of the year! This fun-filled day of free musical performances raises money for ESYO while showcasing the breadth and depth of our programs. It is the one day of the year when all ESYO ensembles (including CHIME) perform in one location!

Your support is needed now more than ever. The marathon display of musical talent helps ESYO ensure no qualified musician is ever turned away from the ESYO experience because of an inability to pay. The money raised will support a substantial portion of ESYO’s operating expenses and musician scholarships.
