I wanted to share why joining the string orchestra means so much to me and how your support can really help. Music has always been important to me, but being part of the orchestra has given me a chance to express myself in a whole new way. The feeling of playing alongside my fellow musicians is something I can’t really describe—it's truly special.

Joining the orchestra has been about more than just playing an instrument. It’s about being part of a community, growing together, and getting creative. It feels amazing to be part of something bigger than myself. Music has this incredible ability to bring people together, tell stories, and make us feel things that words can’t always express.

Your support will help me and my friends in the orchestra continue to do what we love and give others the chance to experience the same thing. With your generous donation, we can keep making music, inspire each other, and share that joy with the community.

I’m hoping to raise $200 or more to help the orchestra keep going and provide more opportunities for everyone to grow through music. Any amount you can donate, big or small, will mean a lot to all of us.

Playathon is Empire State Youth Orchestra’s most important fundraiser and friend-raiser of the year! This fun-filled day of free musical performances raises money for ESYO while showcasing the breadth and depth of our programs. It is the one day of the year when all ESYO ensembles (including CHIME) perform in one location!

Your support is needed now more than ever. The marathon display of musical talent helps ESYO ensure no qualified musician is ever turned away from the ESYO experience because of an inability to pay. The money raised will support a substantial portion of ESYO’s operating expenses and musician scholarships.
