Dear Reader,

My name is Karina, and I'm a violinist in the Empire State Youth Orchestra. I joined ESYO because I wanted a pre-professional orchestral experience.  It has been such a great learning opportunity.  The groups bring kids together from all walks of life with the goal of making amazing music.  ESYO also conducts community outreach regularly to offer other children the chance to enjoy playing and hearing music.  This is a special organization committed to the capital region and future musicians.  Please consider supporting ESYO as it strives to keep its programs accessible to any child wanting to participate.

Playathon is Empire State Youth Orchestra’s most important fundraiser and friend-raiser of the year! This fun-filled day of free musical performances raises money for ESYO while showcasing the breadth and depth of our programs. It is the one day of the year when all ESYO ensembles (including CHIME) perform in one location!

Your support is needed now more than ever. The marathon display of musical talent helps ESYO ensure no qualified musician is ever turned away from the ESYO experience because of an inability to pay. The money raised will support a substantial portion of ESYO’s operating expenses and musician scholarships.
