ESYO has made me an amazing musician and has helped me to realize who I can be as a clarinetist and what my musical talents are!

There are so many kind and friendly people who have helped bring musicality and our abilities to the next level during rehearsals, and I always have fun with them while learning the new notes and rhythms.

It has made a personal connection to me as well, by helping me make new friends and by meeting new conductors, so that I can always feel welcome.  Everyone in the organization has always been super welcoming, and has helped me realize that music can be a new home for me!

ESYO can open so many different doors for us all for new experiences, and always new and enhancing opportunities! It has made me feel more confident and helped me challenge myself so I can feel more self-sufficient. It has also opened my curiosity door for when I look at new music, I see the new adventures, and challenges that are yet to come for me!!!

Playathon is Empire State Youth Orchestra’s most important fundraiser and friend-raiser of the year! This fun-filled day of free musical performances raises money for ESYO while showcasing the breadth and depth of our programs. It is the one day of the year when all ESYO ensembles (including CHIME) perform in one location!

Your support is needed now more than ever. The marathon display of musical talent helps ESYO ensure no qualified musician is ever turned away from the ESYO experience because of an inability to pay. The money raised will support a substantial portion of ESYO’s operating expenses and musician scholarships.
